How is FRESCO Dry RAW made?
The production process of our FRESCO Dry RAW differs from all conventional "premium" dry foods available in the UK market. Instead of extruding the ingredients under high pressure and high temperatures (pressure cooker), we simply dry in an elaborate and gentle air & freeze-drying process.
For the production of our Dry RAW range, we use on average 4kg or fresh raw material which results in 1kg of the finished product. As we remove nearly all of the moisture content from the fresh material its results in a hard & crunchy texture.

Why chose FRESCO Dry RAW?
Your dog is not only harmed by environmental influences but also increasingly by the ingredients in their daily food. The preservatives, additives and chemical residues often contained within conventional dog food brands can be jointly responsible for diseases such as tumours, kidney and liver damage, impairments in the musculoskeletal system, fertility disorders and allergies. We have therefore decided not to use any additives within our FRESCO Dry RAW diets or across any products which we manufacture and sell.
General supermarket dog food is made from inferior raw materials, mainly cereals, bone meal and fats. Often, only a very small amount of fresh meat is contained within the food, instead, meat flours are processed and often declared as dried meat. In comparison, FRESCO Dry RAW relies exclusively on natural ingredients. In our food, you will only find fresh meat, bones and offal, vegetables, fruit and selected oils.

Let's explore these ingredients in more detail...
Your dog requires proteins to build up and maintain organs, muscles and the functionality of enzymes. Meat is a good source of protein because it contains all the essential amino acids in the right ratio to each other and therefore has a high biological value. Meat also contains iron, zinc, selenium and B vitamins.
We include Goat offal within this food to help naturally provide a source of valuable nutrients and minerals.
Pumpkin is a real superfood due to its nutrient and fibre richness. In addition to its important fibre, Pumpkin also offers high levels of Vitamins A, C, E, Magnesium, Pantothenic acid, Potassium, Zinc while also acting as a natural high-quality supply of vegetable protein.
A natural diet for dogs must contain a source of calcium, dogs rely on this to help build and maintain a healthy frame structure. We include Venison Breast Bone within this diet to help offer a natural supply of calcium while also including high levels of valuable fatty acids and enzymes.
We source our carrots directly from the farmer, we include both of these vegetables as they contain many vitamins and minerals (especially potassium). They also contain saponins and flavonoids, which have an appetizing and digestive effect.
This particular exotic fruit is rich in potassium and also contains Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron. The contained ellagic acid is considered a natural cell protection agent and boosts fat burning. In contrast to other fruit seeds, the pomegranate seeds contain no hydrocyanic acid and are therefore harmless to the dog.
Millet is particularly digestible and contains a lot of iron and magnesium. The contained silica and flour provide strengthening of the bones, nails and teeth.
Cranberries are real super berries. They contain secondary plant substances that trap free radicals and protect the cell structure. The berries mainly contain Vitamins C and E as well as magnesium, Calcium and Potassium.
Our team of experienced fisherman gather only the finest quality Seaweed directly from the sea bed. Both ingredients offer many important suppliers minerals such as (magnesium, calcium, phosphorus and iodine).
European Wheat Germ Oil is included as it is high levels of Vitamin E which can help develop strong and healthy muscles, healthy circulatory and immune systems within your dog's body & structure.
The rosehip is a true superfood supplement and particularly rich in important nutrients such as Vitamins A, E, K, B1, B2, B3, B6 and especially Vitamin C, as well as pectins and tannins.
How much do I feed my dog per day?
Adult dogs 16kg to 30kg: approx
1% of body weight
Adult dogs 30kg+: approx
0.8-1%% of body weight
(up to approx. 15 kg): approx. 1-1.5% of the bodyweight
Young Dogs up to 8 months: approx
2-3% of the current body weight
Daily feeding guide chart
|Adult Dog Weight||Daily feed Amount*|
The % figure relates to the bodyweight of your dog.
Example: A dog with a weight of 20kg and a recommended daily feed quantity of 1% would require 200g of food per day.
Our Dry RAW Complete Menu Venison contains approx. 420 kcal / 100g. The above values are guidelines for the amount of food for normally active, not neutered healthy dogs. However, individual needs may differ by up to 50% from the calculated values due to age, breed or activity. These are only starting points for the estimation of the daily amount of feed.
Storage & Feeding: Once opened we recommend using all of the bag's contents within 8 weeks, this is to ensure the highest nutritional value of the ingredients as we do not use any synthetic preservatives within the food. To store, simply seal the foil packaging with its zip-lock feature and keep in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.
How to transition from your current dog food onto FRESCO...
You can easily transition your dog one of two ways depending on your dog's acceptance to new foods within their diet. There is no set rule as every dog is different, we do however favour a straight swap technique for effortless transitioning.
- Skip a meal (preferably an evening feed) and simple serve our FRESCO food the next morning
- Feed a single protein, one they are most comfortable with and have eaten previously. Feed this protein for a 14 day period so their internal digestive system can adapt to their new food
Add new proteins, After 14 days simply start introducing new proteins into their diet, we recommend a minimum of 3 proteins. Alternate these proteins throughout the month to create a varied balanced diet.
How to serve:
Simply pour your desired amount based on your dog's age, weight and activity levels.
Note: There is no need to add water directly to Dry RAW food to hydrate, instead you simply fill their water bowl as normal.
How to store…
Store FRESCO Dry RAW away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Once opened bags can be easily closed again thanks to the pressure seal and foil-lined packaging thus making the food use-able for up to 8 weeks from the day of opening.
* Important: Of our energy-rich dry food, which does not contain any fillers such as grain, rice, potatoes etc., your dog only needs about half as much as from another extruded premium dog food (Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved, Eukanuba etc.).
Therefore, it is perfectly normal for your dog's stoles to be only half of what they would be on a standard kibble diet as our FRESCO Dry RAW is perfectly balanced for your dogs' digestive system resulting in more goodness being consumed into your dog's body reducing the amount of food simply passing through their digestive system.

Dry Raw Complete Menu Goat with Pumpkin, Pomegranate and Millet
This goat menu is fab & my JRT loves it. His stomach seems to as well. Finally we found something he can eat without itchy skin, sickness/excessive grass eating/diarrhea. Luckily the wet food is in stock right now or we'd be in trouble.
Though the nuggets are a little large for a small dog, they are slightly soft so easy for him to eat (tried the horse which is very hard). Hoping to get more in the new year.
Thanks William for ringing me to discuss other options whilst waiting for more stock.
We had been using the Rabbit variety on an elimination trial diet, but it turned out that my dog is sensitive to Rabbit as well as to so many other things, and it gave him terrible GI symptoms.
We are now trying him on the Goat variety instead, which he absolutely loves, and: so far so good.
His tummy issues resolved as soon as we started him on it. He has some of the canned goat products as a topper, and he quickly licks his bowl clean!
Hope it will be back in stock soon.
