Our Dry Raw Hypoallergenic Kangaroo Menu with Jerusalem Artichoke consist exclusively of two ingredients: Kangaroo muscle meat and Jerusalem Artichoke. What you will never find are flavours, colours, preservatives, bone meals, chemicals, wheat, rice, grains, corn, soy or other fillers.

Why Kangaroo?

Kangaroo is a great meat for allergy sufferers and nutrition-sensitive dogs. It contains a lot of B vitamins and zinc, iron and omega-3 fatty acids. It also has a high concentration of so-called conjugated linoleic acids (CLA), which are said to be effective against diabetes and cancer. We are often asked whether it is even sustainable to use kangaroo meat. Our answer: YES! The kangaroos come from Australia, where the animals have reproduced uncontrollably in the past and have therefore been deliberately hunted for several years. This is necessary so that large parts of Australia do not lose their biodiversity as they are overgrazed by a large number of kangaroos. In addition, Australia's resources are insufficient to feed all of the kangaroos, so the animals themselves are threatened with starvation. Last but not least, the consumption of kangaroo meat makes a contribution to climate protection, as the animals produce far less methane than cattle and sheep.

What are Hypoallergenic Menus?

Our hypoallergenic menu range of Dry RAW foods is a complementary food for dogs who may suffer from or who may be prone to allergies, they can be fed to balance your dog's diet to suit their specific dietary requirements. We use Kangaroo meat within this food as it is a "novel" protein, as your dog will not have been exposed to this protein before it reduces the risk of allergies or negative reactions occurring.

How to transition to Fresco Dry Raw?

There is no set rule as every dog is different, we do however favour a straight swap technique for effortless transitioning and recommend changing over the diet immediately.

  • Skip a meal (preferably in the evening) and simple serve the Dry Raw the next morning.
  • Feed a single protein for the first 14 days to allow your dog's tummy to get used to their new food. After two weeks, we recommend alternating between different proteins.
  • Add new proteins, After 14 days simply start introducing new proteins into their diet, we recommend a minimum of 3 proteins. Alternate these proteins throughout the month to create a varied balanced diet.

Variety is key

Feeding a variety of proteins is key to offering your dog the naturally balanced diet he deserves.

With our Dry Raw, you can easily balance your dog's diet across a flavourful range of 11 different proteins.

Why chose FRESCO?

Your dog is not only harmed by environmental influences but also increasingly by the ingredients in their daily food.

The preservatives, additives and chemical residues often contained within conventional dog food brands can be jointly responsible for diseases such as tumours, kidney and liver damage, impairments in the musculoskeletal system, fertility disorders and allergies. We have therefore decided not to use any additives within any of our products.

General supermarket dog food is made from inferior raw materials, mainly cereals, bone meal and fats. Often, only a very small amount of fresh meat is contained within the food, instead, meat flours are processed and often declared as dried meat. In comparison, FRESCO relies exclusively on natural ingredients. In our food, you will only find fresh meat, bones and offal, vegetables, fruit and selected oils.

How to serve & store

  • Open the bag and simply pour the desired amount of feed into the bowl.
  • Once opened we recommend using all of the bag's contents within 8 weeks, this is to ensure the highest nutritional value of the ingredients as we do not use any synthetic preservatives within the food.
  • To store, simply seal the foil packaging with its zip-lock feature and keep it in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

Amazing food

I bought this food for my raw fed Labrador Winston just before we set off for camping holiday. Although the camp site offered fridges, it was not practical to take with me a 5-day worth of raw food and drive it across the country in a scorching heat. I needed an alternative as didn’t want to go down the tin food route (it gives my boy a terrible tummy problems) and, certainly, I didn’t want to buy any kibble (I believe that kibble is a crime against nutrition). So the freeze- dried novel protein was an obvious choice. And I have to say that it was best decision ever- my boy absolutely loved this food and had no digestive problems whatsoever. I used all leftover food as treats for not only my boy but also my clients’s pup’s. And, oh boy, they loved it to the point of obsession. I 100% recommended this food to anybody who doesn’t want to feed raw but wants the benefits of raw feeding, to anybody who is going on holiday and needs an alternative to raw food, but also to dog owners who look for good quality treats for their pups as this food can be easily used as treats.

Fantastic product

Great treat for my little jack who has allergies to most proteins

Great for Allergies

Really good for dogs who need a single novel protein with few vegetables. We feed raw but give this on the side and excellent to have an alernative.
